Football, Faith Hill, and Farmers Markets
First off- sorry for the delay in getting this ‘weekend review’ post up. Packing, cleaning, and preparing to travel has taken most of my few waking hours.
But before I take off from NYC for Thanksgiving, here is a quick recap of my weekend events and finds. ...I mean, could this title describe me any better??!
As as per our weekly traditions, on Saturday afternoon Anthony and I drove over to Smokehouse for our favorite French onion soup (ya’ll, it’s seriously so good. You see it in my IG stories most weekends! Ha) and my UGA bulldawg afternoon game.
We might have been the only ones there to watch the game..but we don’t care!
Afterwards, Anthony had recorded for me the ‘Tim & Faith: Soul2Soul’ special, so I made a quick charcuterie board and we got to watchin’! Ya’ll this show was just so sweet. I laughed and cried. Such a sweet story of their marriage and careers. ..plus, I think they gained a new fan!
Side note: I might have eaten way too much cheese for my poor stomach to handle- but I think Thanksgiving came early for me with the Brie and fig jam, basil Parmesan cheddar, and Bellavitano Merlot. Yummmmm. Thanks for hooking it up, Fairway!
Moving right along, after church on Sunday, we strolled through the Farmers Market. ..I’m always in heaven there!
Sunday I decided I wanted to gift Anthony with a plant for his apartment.
And though maybe I should have chosen this cute little guy due to ease of care for him....
...I spied Christmas cactuses!!...I remember how beautiful my Mamaw’s, Grandmother’s, and Mom’s are every year..and how perfectly timed for the season. Sold!
Here’s to hoping this guy likes his new home..and hopefully his new owner will remember to check on him now and then ;). Got any Christmas cactus tips I should pass along??
Safe holiday travels ya’ll!
