With the holiday season upon us, (can you believe that Thanksgiving is next week?!!) I thought it would be nice to start a weekly post of some of the things that I'm thankful for...and maybe they'll provide a little bit of inspiration, thanks, and joy for you along the way :)
~ ~ ~
To begin, I recently had a free night to hang with one of my dear friends, Alma (you might have also seen her in this post too!..isn’t she the cutest :)). We are both so busy that our schedules rarely sync up. So, this night out was definitely a treat!
Since we were being indecisive, we walked around until we stumbled across this cute Italian restaurant. It drew us in not just because of its charm, but also because of it's happy hour prices. Though we had planned on only staying for a couple drinks, we decided to stay for dinner. We split a few things on the menu so we could taste everything...shrimp cocktail, calamarie, grilled octopus, pasta pomodoro....my mouth is watering just thinking about it. Yummmmmm!
We had the best time and our waiter took such good care of us. So thankful for this sweet catch-up time with a great friend and great food.
Secondly, I was recently able to attend one of Redeemer's Grace and Race events with my Community Group and Anthony. This specific event featured two performers, Sho Baraka and Propaganda, from Humble Beast. They performed through music, spoken word, stories, and beautiful speeches on topics such as Dignity, Unity, and Compassion.
I was so moved by their conviction and encouraged by their faith in the gospel.
Very thankful to be introduced to these artists and be inspired and strengthened by them!! You've gotta check them out!
Lastly, as this weather has quickly decided to turn into winter, I'm LOVING these teas by one of my favorite local farms, Tweefontein Herb Farm. I found them earlier this year as I was strolling through the farmer's market after church.
My favorites are Mint Rose Dream and Ginger Boost...delicious hot or cold!!
In addition, they also sell essential oils, lotions, and soaps. I love that I can always smell their tent a few feet away. It draws me in every time! Without fail, I always grab one of their fresh brewed teas for the road. :)
What are some things that you're thankful for this week??
